The Regional College of Nursing was established way back in December 1977. The institution is located in the beautiful picturesque of Narakasur Hill Top, Indrapur, Guwahati, Assam. This government pioneer premier institute is the pride of the North East in the field of Nursing Education. This institute is taking leading role in producing qualified nursing personnel throughout the North Eastern region. The College runs two courses i.e. B.Sc. (N) and M.Sc. (N) programme recognized by Indian Nursing Council and under Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences and Government of Assam and also many more training programs are conducted time to time for the entire North East India. The institution aims to provide an educational environment to prepare world class nursing graduates and post graduates who would be resuming responsibility in promotion of health and prevention of diseases of the people and community at large. The courses offered facilitates talented female student aspirant to become independent, self confident, competent in the society and thereby strengthening the health care system and establish women empowerment.
Nursing is the caring profession, which is a vital healthcare discipline offering diverse, high demand career opportunities from bed side clinical care in hospitals to specialized roles in public health, home and community settings. Regional College of Nursing is trying to keep with this pace in this era of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics and have paved its way towards the Centre of Excellence in the Northeast India.

With the initiatives of Govt. of Assam, college has started working on the NNF project with an aim to lead the nation through capacity building of its faculty and students. The Japanese language classes are going on in the college to assist the students for their future job locations across the globe.
With such ventures, I welcome all the aspirants to the profession of nursing and Regional College of Nursing where we are determined to expert, proficient and competent nurse graduates who would lead the health care sector.
